Hatley’s Homecoming: Local community celebrates imprisoned soldier’s return

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – Family, friends and supporters welcomed a Central Texas soldier home in fine fashion Monday night.
John Hatley returned to Groesbeck on Saturday after serving nearly 12 years in Leavenworth for war crimes he says never happened.
The 20-year, highly-decorated U.S. Army soldier says he was betrayed by the military justice system, but certainly not by his community where he plans to spend the remainder of his free life.
The community in Groesbeck, Hatley’s hometown, gathered at the high school football field Monday evening to welcome Hatley home and discuss the long journey his supporters feel was unlawful, unjustified and unfair.

LEAVENWORTH COUNTY, Kansas (KETK)- John Hatley, Army first was released from federal prison Friday morning and his loved ones and a few Texas congressmen were present for this moment.
Hatley was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole because he was found guilty of the premeditated murder of 4 Iraqi detainees in 2009.
But, no physical or forensic evidence was found during an investigation by the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division. Additionally, no bodies were found.

1SG Johnathan Hatley, United States Army, was released today from Leavenworth Federal Prison after spending 10 years incarcerated for crimes he didn’t commit nor were there any victims found or ballistic evidence regarding the allegations but was still charged.
Congressman Flores and Gohmert R-TX, Justice For Warriors Caucus and United American Patriots(UAP non-profit) defense team fought for his release.

Central Texas soldier imprisoned 12 years for war crime gets married on day of release

PLATTE CITY, Kan. (KWTX) – A former soldier from Central Texas who spent the past 12 years behind bars for war crimes he insists didn’t happen was released from prison and immediately got married Friday, beginning a new chapter in his life as he seeks a full pardon to clear his name.
First Sgt. John Hatley, of Groesbeck, was released Friday and did not waste any time marrying Pamela Miller, whom he met while in prison in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

First Sergeant John Hatley was released yesterday from Leavenworth Federal Prison after spending 10 years incarcerated for crimes he didn’t commit. Although there were no victims found or ballistic evidence regarding the allegations he had still been charged.
